Here’s what’s happening - my goal for 2022 is to hunt at least 1 park every day (UTC day), and secondarily, to try and write a short post about the day’s contact. If you want to play along, feel free - I’ll be sharing updates about it during the monthly POTA updates that I prepare for the various ham-radio media outlets.
with that intro out of the way…
I got today’s first contact out of the way early! I sat down at the computer before heading to bed, but after the UTC day rolled over, so that I could do some POTA work and get my deployment stuff for my blog set back up on a new machine. While I was parked at the computer Brian, N2BTD popped up on 80 meters activating K-2132. Brian is at this point a POTA fixture - he’s very active, and even won one of the plaques during last summer’s plaque event (Congrats Brian!) It’s always fun to work the familiar callsigns!
